It explores societal perceptions and portrayals of women, delving into the hard truths of life, relationships, family, careers, and addictions. Prepare yourself for a heartfelt and thought-provoking experience, filled with moments of laughter and tears, as these women bravely unveil their stories, secrets, and truths – the kind typically only written in a diary.
Since its 2017 premiere in Chicago, DIARY of a THYCKE GIRL has consistently captivated audiences. It returned to the stage by popular demand in 2018, as Dinner Theater Production in 2022, and even presented a Holiday version in 2024. Every single show has sold out! Now, this powerful production is heading to the West Coast. The stellar Chicago cast, joined by a young L.A. aspiring actor, is bringing the heat to a West Coast stage.
Diary of a Thycke Girl is written, directed, and produced by Thycke Girl Productions, LLC. "Thycke" is an attitude, a lifestyle, a connection between friends, and a celebration of confidence that transcends typical body labels. It is not about a dress, "Thycke" embodies confidence, wit and inner strength ie. "think skin" - a message powerfully delivered on stage and through the works of TGP's founders.
